Family Vacation to Las Vegas

Months ago I had a friend tell me about a hotel deal in Vegas. It was too good a deal to pass up!
I booked the trip and then waited and waited to go.
Not realizing that it would be just a couple of weeks after we moved. It couldn't have come at a better time. I think we all needed a vacation.

The morning after Pioneer Day we woke up and hit the road!
We got a late start, but the kids did great (nobody threw up! ya!) and we made it to Vegas just in time to settle down for the night. But first we had to go check out the place.

The room was a little smaller then I had thought it would be. The kids didn't seem to mind though.
The next morning we all tried sleeping in, but the little ladies kept peeking out at the pool.
First breakfast!
Look at that baby chub!
After breakfast/lunch (did I mention how much I love sleeping in-thank you Lila) and running some errands, we decide to finally hit the pool! Only to be kicked out before any of us could get a toe in the water due to lightening.

Finally after a couple of hours we made it to the pool!

The kids thought it was so fun to play in the sand

We stayed at the pool ALL DAY! But before we headed in for the night we had to try out the lazy river.
Second morning. It was so nice to have a mini kitchen so that we could eat mostly there in the hotel.
Ella must be getting closer and closer to being a teenager.. she wants to sleep all the time now.

Another day at the pool!

Lila didn't eat too much sand :)

Lila loved sitting in this little shark floaty.
We all took turns pushing her around.

My stud muffin

The hotel had a big luau and dinner.
The kids were so excited!

There was a big buffet.

Lilly loved all of the music, she couldn't help dancing!

Then the performers came out and Lilly got a little nervous...

We were all having a great time, when out of nowhere a huge storm came with lots of lightening and we all had to leave. So that was kind of a bummer.. oh well.

Lila found a new favorite toy
Sometimes it's hard to settle down for bed when you're in a hotel.

Poor Ryan, he did have to work a little. We should have never planned this trip for the end of the month.

The next day we decided to go out and explore a little.

But within a few minutes of driving we knew something was wrong with our car. It smelled like burning plastic. Luckily we were close to a repair show.
While waited for our car we walked along some shops. The kids didn't seem to mind.
After three hours and three hundred dollars we were able to get out of there.
We found a nice mall with a fun play area for the kids.

We got some lunch and walked around.
Lilly figured out chopstick on her first try!

While shopping for make up Ryan convinced Ella to get a little make over.
Here is her before and after!

Jack was a little jealous, so he asked for a mustache.
He wouldn't smile, because he said that you wouldn't be able to see his mustache as well.

We got back to the hotel in time to swim for just a little bit before it was totally dark.

More snacks and movies before bed.

The next morning we slept in before getting ready to head to the strip.
First we went and saw a magic/comedy show.
(It was cheap and kid appropriate)
The kids loved seeing our picture on the big screen.

The guy who was opening the show was just as funny, if not funnier then the main act.
It was a good time for all!

After the show we walked down the strip. Ella LOVED seeing the mini Eiffel tower!
It's still her dream to someday make it to see the real one.

After walking so much outside we decided to go inside.
The kids loved this little show..
Dinner at Cheese Cake Factory!
I love Lilly's pose :)

Then the long walk back to the car and the short drive back to the hotel.
Lilly had her own bed, but every morning I found her with Ella and Jack.
This is how I spent the majority of my time...

The hotel put on lots of fun activities for the kids. Ella tried out the limbo.

Nap time poolside.. what could be better?
I loved that Ryan got to spend so much time with the kids! They love being with their Daddy.

Before we knew it, it was our very last day!!
In the morning I drove and picked up my sister Sarah's oldest two boys who are spending the summer with their Father there in Vegas.
I was SO happy that their Father let them come and spend the day with us!

We swam and swam and swam!
My kids loved being with their cousins!
One last time on the lazy river

After all of that swimming we were all starving!
We decided to try out the little restaurant in the hotel.
The kids were all so wild!

The food was actually really good! We should have been eating there the whole time.
Something I will remember for the next time we come. :)

Although being there for a whole week was so much fun, I think that next time we might only do four days, or try and get a bigger suite.
That evening I took the Tobler boys home and packed everything up.

There was just enough time for one last quick swim.

The next morning we packed up and hit the road.
Feeling a little more relaxed and a lot more tan.

The ride home normally take us about 6 hours, due to tons of construction, traffic and other delays
(Like the side of the freeway on fire)
It took us a little over 8 hours.
I'm so glad we got to go. It's a trip we will all, always remember.
