First Week of School

These are the texts Ella sends me when she's with her friends.

Lilly loves going to Jack soccer practices, so she can play with her "friends" or the other little sisters that are there.

My pretty, freckle faced girl.

Now that the older kids are in school all day.. that leaves me with the littles.
We decided to go check out IHOPS $1 pancake days!
They sure are messy with the syrup!

Ella's school has parent lunch days. It's just an opportunity to hang out with Ella at school.
I love surprising her with some of her favorite things- like meatball subs!

Again... weird pictures Ella sends me... Nice one Macel!

Now that things are more quiet around here I've loved being able to sneak up on Lilly being her sweet four year old self...

She loves to sing! I love that I was able to catch some of it on video.

Our ward had a fun pool party at the PG pool!
The kids thought it was a little chilly, but so much fun.

At first Jack was scared to jump off the diving board. Soon he warmed up and jumped over and over again!

Lila has always struggled in nursery.. and hasn't ever stayed the entire two hours.
Until.. she got new teachers. The Elliotts are amazing! She stayed the whole time and had so much fun!
(That dress was mine when I was little!)
I hope this is the start of many more happy Sundays in nursery!

Canyon

Last minute after church we decided to take a drive up the canyon and have some lunch.

Poor Lilly, it's hard to be four and want to do things that only big kids can do..

We had a contest to see who could collect the most pine cones. Jack won!

Lila was just happy to be outside. Love those chubby cheeks!

And then we started getting worried about rain....

We hurried and ate our lunch.

And then the rain came! It was a total downpour!
Ryan and I rushed to get everything packed up and into the car!
As we were driving out of the canyon the clouds parted and the sun came back out.

Drenched!
Another exciting day up the canyon.

Soccer Game

Jack had a game down in Spanish Fork.
He was so excited!

Jack's team. He loves his coach Mario!

It was so nice to have Mom, Dad, Anna and Neinah come down.
Sami, Tyler and Gemma came too.

As we made our way down to Spanish I realized that the directions were leading us to the school right near Tiffany's house. So I called her and she with her girls rode their bikes to come and check it out too.

Anna was so nice to share with Lila.

Such sweet girls!

Such a great game! Way to go Jack.

Back to School 2015

The day before the official first day of school the Jr. High has a "practice day" for all in coming 7th graders. They get to ride the bus, check on their lockers and work out where their classes are.
So many changes this year!
Ella was super excited and couldn't wait to ride the bus and figure everything out.
She also didn't want me to stick around and wave at her when she was getting on the bus...
But I hid around the corner and took a couple of pictures.
Oh! She saw me!

And just like that.. she's off to figure out Jr. High......

Another Mom was able to get this picture and was nice enough to share it with me!
Such sweet girls!

I had promised Ella and Jack that before school started we would each go on a special Mommy/daughter/son date.
Unfortunately for Jack that ended up being the very day before school started.

He didn't mind though! He got his happy meal and milk shake.

Then he and I headed over to the school for meet the teacher.
Mrs. Barton seems SO nice! Her classroom is so cute and organized.
She seems like a perfect fit for Jack.

The rest of the afternoon I spend making surprises for the kids...

Then we all went and met up with Ella at her Jr. High to check it out.
Lilly was so sad, she wants to go to school so badly.
She doesn't have to wait long. Preschool starts for her in just a couple of weeks.

TOO excited!!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!
Ella has to wake up much earlier then Jack. So they each got to have a special morning just with me and Ryan before school.

Surprised Ella with a yummy breakfast.

HAVE to take pictures!!

I felt like I wanted to walk her and... but no. She's in 7th grade now. Or a sevey.. and she found out.
A derogatory word used to make fun of 7th graders..

And just like that.. shes off! Jr High has officially started for my baby girl.

Then I rushed home to get Jack up and ready for HIS day!

(He and the babies LOVE Monsters University the movie. These Tee shirts are their favorite PJ's)
After a yummy breakfast it was time for pictures.
When school clothes shopping all Jack wanted was "sports wear".
Under Armour is the "thing" right now for boys.. with tall socks. :)

The babies NEVER want to be left out!

We made it to the school with lots of time.. We met up with friends and found his "line".

This guy loves school and was so excited!!
Time to say goodbye.
After everyone was at school... what to do now?
Ryan and I took the babies over to a park close to our house.

These girls are getting so big!

Checking out the pond with Daddy.

What a cheeser!

They said they were SURE they heard something....

After our morning at the park we ran some errands, ate lunch and took a nap.
Then it was time to pick up the kids!!

They both said they had the BEST days and that all of their teachers seemed great!
Here's to another great year of school!

School day #2! Ella was so excited and actually took the bus.
Yeah for school!
