Kindergarten Thanksgiving Program

Today was Ella's Thanksgiving program at school. They had been practicing the songs for weeks now. Ella did a great job and looked pretty darn cute too!

Ryan was actually able to come! YEAH! He's always stuck at work for these kind of things, lucky today was his day off! He was so glad that he could be there for Ella! We all got to hang out in her class after for some cookies and juice! Yum!

High school musical 3

Ella and I made this today- I was seriously laughing so hard I thought I might wet my pants. The little boy is Ella's mini crush, DAKOTA, if she even knew what a crush was. She's watched it like 20 times already! (don't forget to pause the music on my blog first!)

Jack's First Birthday Party

Tonight we had Jack's first birthday party. His actual birthday isn't until the 26th but with Ryan's schedule and Thanksgiving we decided to have it a little early.
Ryan and I got him this little bear chair quite a while ago- as seen here- we've had it in the closet for so long I don't think he ever remembered seeing it. He loved it and sat on it for a long time.

Ryan's parents went in with us to get him this little push car- I was so excited about it and I think he liked it too ;)

The MEN!

The WOMEN!

This was my attempt at a castle cake. It did not turn out how I had thought, but I guess it's ok. Jack doesn't care what it looks like.

He was mesmerized by the candles and kept trying to touch them! I had to hold his hands away. Earlier in the day I tried teaching him to blow our the candles, he didn't get it. All of the kids blew them out for him. Maybe we'll get in figured out by his real birthday.

We had quite the turn out! These are all of our wonderful friends!

Time to eat the cake! Jack was much more interested in the ice cream cone on the top. He was like Ella- hardly touched the cake.

PRESENTS.
He hadn't ever opened a present before. I think that he knew he wanted to see what was inside, but didn't really know how to get it open- so he used his teeth. Hey, it works on opening his food containers.
He started getting the hang of it. Ella, of course, had to be the helpful big sister. Maybe too helpful.
Holy Cow, we have some really awesome friends. They gave Jack such wonderful things. We are so lucky! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! He loved everything!

Jack had such a great birthday party! Thank you to everyone who was able to come! We had a GREAT time! Seriously, we have the best friends ever! Thanks guys!
p.s. Thank you to Lauren, Joseph and Justin for taking pictures and video-ing for us!!!!

Big Boy Seat

This week Ryan and I decided to switch Jack-Jack into the big boy seat. He LOVED being able to see me while I was driving and it was so much easier to hand him things- like his sippy. He's really growing up. He's not a baby anymore!

Sarah & Mr. K

My sweet baby sister got married two weeks ago! I'm so sad that I wasn't able to be there. She married a wonderful man- Kreighton Reed (I call him Mr. K). I got to meet him over the summer while visiting Wisconsin. I'm SO happy for them! I think that they make a wonderful couple. Congratulations!
My wonderfully talented Aunt- Karla Lewis took this and many other beautiful pictures of them! Check her out, HERE!
(I hope it's ok that I took this picture Karla!? If not I'll take it down.)

MAC

He's such a picky eater. I don't know where he got it from ;)
He likes Mac though. A LOT.

No training wheels, I don't think so

Here's the story- last weekend we had a neighborhood garage sale. While I didn't find anything super cool, (like an awesome bookshelf or a little baby bike for Jack) I did find a baby bike seat. You know, the kind that hooks to your bike so that the baby is sitting right behind you. I was so excited! I LOVE good deals. It was never even really used. Anyways, Ryan's mom gave us some bikes a while ago. (They had been sitting in her garage for who knows how long.) None the less we were happy to get them (thank you Sandy!) and so on Ryan's last day off we all went out into the garage and got them ready for the road. Ella loved helping out her Daddy.
So we did it, took the training wheels off. Ella was VERY unsure. "No training wheels, I don't think so"

I wish that I had a picture of her trying without training wheels with Ryan. Instead I was video taping. But it was pretty funny, there was a lot of screaming and yelling and Ella was acting crazy too! (We always have to watch our family videos on mute. I'm always yelling "you can do it, yeah!" Really, just ask Lisa) No really, it didn't go well. As soon as she saw that Ryan wasn't holding onto the back of the bike (although his hand was two inches away) she just about biffed it. Poor thing. So we gave up for the day. We put the little wheels back on, only this time a lot more loose. So she can learn her balance a little more. We'll see what happens.
Jack LOVES to ride on the back of the bike! I couldn't believe it- he fell asleep in it! Hahahahaha! I felt so bad for him, his neck looked so uncomfortable. He didn't care.

The other day I got home from the grocery store and was unloading everything into the house and Jack was throwing a fit. I looked over and he was just about pulling my bike on top of himself. He REALLY wanted to go for a ride. I chucked everything inside and off we went. He just LOVES being outside! It's adorable! Even today he and I rode to wal-mart to return a movie! Almost every time we go down any little hill he screams "WWWWEEEEEE!" He's precious! Anyone up for a bike ride? Let me know.

Jackson Distruction Bailey

You can't see all of the wreck. There is more on the other side of the cabinets.

Yes, destruction IS his middle name. This kid! AH! You might think to yourself, uhm, what a stinker. He must have had some extra energy to cause this much trouble in one day. You would think that. But if you did then you obviously don't know our little Jack Jack very well. This happens EVERYDAY! Several times, a day. Everyday.
Of course I get to cleaning one mess just to find that he's made another. Yikes, what am I going to do with this guy!?
(you might also ask yourself why I haven't bought some locks for all of the cabinets. I have two answers. First, that would be a lot of locks because we have a lot of cabinets and we are renting. Second, when it really comes down to it I know that he's just trying to figure things out. He's curious. Why would I want to stop that?)
And so until next time Mr. Destructo!

Joe's

Ava and Ella
Brian and MelissaLast week the kids and I along with our friends the Bullard's went to Joe's Farm Grill to get a free meal. They had FREE Hamburger day! I didn't get a picture of me or little Dillon. Darn.~Later/ same day~
Yippee! We got our furniture, as you can kind of see in this picture. Look closer. Can you see that Jack is happy to have our furniture too? So many new things to play with. He just loves pulling out all of the moss from around the bottom of all my silk plants. Also dumping things over and climbing on tables. Stinker. There is more of the destruction to come.
