Last Day of School

Finally the day arrived!!
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!
The weather over the past couple of days had been rainy, so things had been delayed for Ella.
She had field day and dance day all on the last day.
(why she is wearing running gear)
It was also Jack's preschool graduation!
Of course Lilly wanted to get in on some photos.
I love the one of her kissing Jack on the cheek.
Jack wanted one "scary" one too...
They had little cap's and gowns for each child, it was so cute!!!
Jack became super nervous.....

That kid does NOT like to be the center of attention.
You can see the terror on his face having to sit in front of all those parents!

They sang some cute songs and each child got up to demonstrate some of the things they had learned over the year. Jack was to lead everyone in the pledge of allegiance, but only was able to with the help of one of his teachers. He was also to help another classmate count to 20 in Spanish, but he just got too nervous. It was somewhat frustrating, but mostly funny that he was so freaked out. Finally when it was his turn to get up and show some of the sign language he's learned he was brave and did every word!

My big boy!
Jack and I love all of his sweet teachers, I'm so thankful for them and all of their hard work.
Jack couldn't wait to give them some little presents he and I put together.

Jack's best friend in class is Gabe.
Who was also feeling very nervous. He didn't even want to put his cap and gown on or sit with the class.
They always talk about each other and love to play together.
Out of all the kids in the class Jack was going to miss seeing Gabe the most.
They were both SO happy when Gabe's Mom and I said that we can get together and play over the summer. They might even get to be in the same kindergarten class this fall!
(Ella and her best friend at school Chloe)
After Jack's graduation I RACED to Ella's school.
Each year all of the 4th grade classes learn about Utah and about pioneers.
So for their big dance day they all dress up and dance as the pioneers did.
Ella has been looking forward to this for years and she didn't want me to miss it.
But I did.... Due to things being delayed several days, Ella's dance and Jack's graduation were at the SAME time. I hate that we've reached a point where I have to choose which child's activity to go to.
Ella was really sad, but showed me some of her moves as she said goodbye to her classmates.
Next year my parents will be here and Ryan will have a new job. I'm hoping between all of us we wont miss out on any fun things like this again!

Yippee!!!! SO ready for summer break!!
(I love Ella's pioneer outfit our neighbors let her borrow!)
I wish that we had taken pictures with Ella's learning lab teacher Mrs. Payne who is retiring and also her principal Mr. Stevenson who is moving to another school. They were both some of my favorite people here and are going to be very much missed!!!

FIRST and LAST day of school pictures............
Has jack really grown that much? Or is it just that his hair is that tall?
Ella was so surprised to see Maisy at our house when we got there.
The fun was starting!!! For the kids that meant hanging out with all these guys, for Ryan and I that meant VEGAS here we come!!!!
I LOVE SUMMER!!!

Memorial day

Lilly's first time down the big water slide.... she did NOT like it. I doubt we will ever get her to go again...
For Memorial day our wonderful friends the Andersen's had us over for a BBQ!
I didn't take too many pictures, too much time chatting with the ladies and stuffing my face I guess.
Lucy (Goose) and Ammon were the braves ones, not afraid of the COLD water.
The Dad's were so nice to drive and get the big slide and a fun sprinkler for the kids.
(Even if it got a little cold and windy outside)

(Lilly was tired and ready for a nap)
Everyone played outside and ate and ate and ate.
I was surprised that my kids didn't throw up later from how much soda they drank!
Poor Ella, she's hit "that" age. She's too grown up to go play with the little kids.
She loves her kindle. This is what she did the whole time.
Teenage years are fast approaching!
It was such a nice day!! I'm so glad that we went!!
Thank you Anderson family!!

Lilly's Best Friend

Best friends need matching swimming suits!

Lilly LOVES Camille. She's the little girl who lives across the street.
Lilly is only 20 months and Camille just turned 4.
Age doesn't matter with these girls. They love each other and play together everyday.

Camille was out of town for a whole week. Lilly was so lonely.
When I saw that their families car was back I said- looks like Camille's back.
Lilly started screaming and wiggling to get out of my arms.
She yelled "amille, amille!" as she ran across the street and knocked on the door until Camille came out!

Sometimes I don't know what I would do without Camille! Except at church..... We can't sit anywhere near Camille's family, because if we do then Lilly will scream "AMILLE!" and just want to sit with her best friend.

Lisa's Birthday

For Lisa's birthday her Mom put together a little party at the Springville splashpad.
The kids played, while the Mom's hung out, ate pizza and cake.
Can you believe that Lilly is only 9 months younger then Brielle!?
Lilly and Brielle had fun slashing around.
Lilly loves wearing her hat (Which is a little small now) and sunglasses.
Brielle wanted some sunglasses too.
It was a fun day, even if I did get a little sunburn on my legs. Oops!
Later that week we had a girls night for Lisa with more cake and ice cream.
I didn't get home until 4:30am! It's been a long time since I've done that, but it was a LOT of fun!
Happy Birthday Lisa!!!!

Jack's Field Trip to the Farm

With things being so busy around here I was glad that I was able to take Jack to his field trip with his pre-school class to Thanksgiving point farm.
I'm getting HUGE and things aren't as easy.
We all had lunch out on the grass together before starting the tour of the farm.
Jack and his best buddy at school Gabe checked out the baby chicks.
Lilly LOVES animals. She loves going to the pet store and looking at pictures and videos of baby animals online, so this was heaven for her.
Lilly wasn't at all afraid of even the big horses and wanted to touch and play with them.

Jack on the other hand was very cautious. He finally got up the courage to pet this nice horse.

Jack was asking how you can tell if they are girls, or boys.
After I explained it, he had to check and see. Yep, both girls.
Checking out the bunny's.
We went on a hay ride around Thanksgiving point and then played in some fun playhouses.
The boys all thought it was so fun to pretend to be in jail.
Of course Lilly thinks that she's big and can do everything the big boys do.
She was able to hold on for a LONG time!
Dancing! I'm not sure that Lilly loved being Jack's dancing partner.
We walked around and saw some chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats, sheep and more.
Lastly the kids each got to go for a ride on a horse.
Jack picked the biggest one! He wasn't afraid!
Lilly was excited, until I actually put her on the little tiny horse. She was a little nervous.
I'm sure that I looked so silly trying to waddle along side these horses....
Lilly figured it out and loved bouncing along with the horse.
As it was time to get off I look over, holy cow, Jack's horse really needed to pee!
It was splashing so badly I had to wait until he was done to help Jack off.
Which was well over two minutes!!
It was getting late and about time to pick Ella up from school, we started walking back to the car.
Lilly had run off yet again, to go see the horses again. She really does love animals!
We are going to have to go back again soon.
Some of Jack's class.
(One little girl wasn't there and anther was just feeling a little too shy..)
These kids are all so cute. It's been such a wonderful experience for Jack.
Lilly wanted to be in a picture too!
One last picture in this chair that Jack thought was pretty cool.
It was a hot, but very fun day!
Only a couple more weeks of school!!

First HOT Day

I LOVE summer, especially here in Utah.
It gets hot, but not too hot!
I love the kids being out of school, becoming more relaxed in our schedule, Barbeques, playing outside and swimming. (plus if its summer that means its almost baby time!)
I wanted to have a little party- like last year- on the last day of school.
 *
However, this year the last day of school Ryan and I will be on a much needed little vacation- without the kids!
It's been a bit of a rough month for me. I had been feeling weird pain off and on and the doctors and hospital couldn't figure it out. Turns out, after yet another horrible trip to emergency I had kidney stones and infection. This week it finally seems like things are getting better and that I'm coming out of a horrible cloud that's been hanging over me. So many things I was chalking up as pregnancy symptoms are now gone. I can sleep on my right side now! I'm so ready for summer and for this baby to get here!
*
It hit over 90 degrees so I decided we should have our little party early.
The kids came home from school to some treats, new towels and water bottles.

This time it was hot enough that the hose water felt nice and refreshing.
I LOVE Lilly's new suit.
Sadly she had an "accident" and we had to wash it out.
Fun stuff....
The splash pad and pools open soon, we can't wait!!! We are SO ready for summer!!
