I'm doing dishes when I look over and there is my little Lilly standing up all on her own!!
She had been standing while holding onto the couch before, but not in the middle of the room!
She loved all of the clapping and cheering from everyone!
She stood there a long time before slowly sitting down and crawling away.
Later we tried to get her to do it again, but she wouldn't!
(I don't know if the gate gave her some kind of stability or something!?)
Now- a few weeks later she loves to stand up and even take a couple of steps!
Before I know it, she'll be walking!!
