Last of the summer days

A couple of weeks ago Ryan and I decided to take the kids out to the splash pad just one more time this summer.
With the new baby on it's way and so much going on I figured we needed to do one more fun summer thing.
Of course Lisa met us there too!
These sweet boys. I know I've said it before. They are so much more like cousins then friends. They will never know life without each other!
The girls having a little picnic. Trying to avoid the little boys.
Jack wanted me to take some pictures of his HUGE muscles!
Of course then so did Preston!
Summer is almost over.
Last week while dropping Ella off at school one morning she made it about five feet from the car before running back to see if there happened to be a jacket in the car. She was COLD.
Oh boy, before we know it snow will be on the ground!
I am glad that we were able to have so much fun this summer and really enjoy it.
The best thing about the end of the summer- BABY IS COMING SOON!!!

Birthday Surprise

(Brielle got to tag along too!!)

Two weeks ago I was running errands and trying to clean the house.
Ryan came downstairs and told me that someone from the Relief Society had called and wanted to come over and meet with me later that night.
I thought that rather odd, seeing as they had already come to see me just the week before.
So I continued to clean the house.
Ryan was so nice and offered to help me do whatever I needed him to do and that I should go upstairs and get ready.
I told him that with everything I had going on, they would understand me being in sweats.
Looking back, I maybe should have taken him up on his offer!!
The time came for the ladies to come over, but when I answered the front door it wasn't anyone from church, it was Lisa and Kim!
They had come to take me out for my birthday!!
I was SO SURPRISED!!
They were nice enough to give me a few minutes to try and clean myself up and change out of those sweats!
Lisa, Kim, Sami and I met up with Tiffany at Olive Garden for some yummy dinner and then to a movie.
It was SUCH a fun night! Exactly what I needed!
Thank you for all of the wonderful gifts and cards!!!
You guys all know me too well!!!
Love you girls!!

First Day of School 2011

Before we knew it school was starting again!
Ella had been so looking forward to the big day.
After meet the teacher night and having the teacher over to our house for a little home visit
(her teacher is so awesome and always goes to each students house the week before school starts, just to get to know the children and their families!)
Ella couldn't wait to be in school and having fun!!
Ella jumped out of bed and got ready for school faster then she ever had before.
Some fun surprises were found down stairs
Breakfast first!

The kids love getting new backpacks every year!!
All ready for school!
Jack was so sad, he wishes that he could go to school too.
Next year PRESCHOOL!

Sweet kids, all grown up!
As soon as we got to the school Ella found some of her friends and classmates from last year.
I am so glad we decided to keep Ella in the same school. It will be a little more tricky to get her there and home then if she were to go to the school right around the corner, but we feel like Ella will really benefit from the consistency.

Sweet boy........
While Ella was at school Jack and I made some cupcakes to have as a special treat for when Ella came home
First day done!!!

That night we took the kids out to eat at one of Ella's favorite restaurants- Wingers- to celebrate the start of another great school year!

I LOVE all of these pictures of our sweet little girl!
She sure has grown up, especially over this past year!

Laptop

Jack loves playing on his Daddy's laptop.
Quite often Ryan will set up a movie for him to watch of a kid website for him to play on.
Jack also really enjoys wearing Dad's headphones!
My sweet little man.

The Other Night...

The other night I was busy doing something.. some craft or sewing something.
Things like that have really taken over my life these past couple of weeks.
Trying to stay busy and not go crazy with the anticipation of this new baby.
Well, suddenly I realized that it was after midnight.
I swear I don't know how five hours had gone by, it felt a lot more like fifteen minutes!
I also became aware of how quiet the house was.
So off I was to try and find my family.
THIS is what I found.
All asleep, all in my bed.

I don't know how on earth Ella is able to sleep with her hair in her face like that!?
Seriously!?
I would go crazy!
She's such a deep sleeper, I guess she doesn't even realize.
*
I LOVE that this shows what I have to deal with every night.
See, Ryan has a special- blanket. Not any old blanket, his silky.
It's a HUGE!
Every night he nicely folds over all of the other sheets and blankets on our bed, to make room for his silky.
Don't get me wrong, Ryan is SUCH a manly man. Until it comes to bedtime.
Then it's his silky and his fan.
Hehehehehe... sorry Ryan. For the sake of posterity I am glad it's documented.
I seriously need to try and find a better duvet, his yellow one is so unattractive!

Sweet Siblings

The other night I went in to check on the kids before going to bed myself
and couldn't find Jack!
He was in bed with his sissy.
These kids are so sweet.
I don't know what I would do without them.
And I don't know what they would do without each other.
I love that they love each other so much.
Such sweet brother and sister.

Cheer

Over the summer Ella took a cheer class at our local community center.
(Where Jack did soccer)
They don't let parents sit in on any of the classes, so Ryan and I were excited to go to her year end performance and see what she's been up to.
It's about what we expected... hehehehehehehe.
Ella had a lot of fun and that's all that matters!
She was so cute!!!

A few months ago when we went to see Paige's dance recital Paige got some flowers from her Dad and Grandma. On the drive to her cheer performance Ella told us she was so excited to get flowers too!
Oh, okay.
Ryan and I had to go to three different places to finally find her some flowers while she was practicing with her team.
It was totally worth it, since she said that was the best part!
We are so proud of our sweet Ella!!
Way to go BellyBug!

Swimming

This past weekend we had the opportunity to attend a yearly pool party put on my Tiffany's work. We also got to go down early and celebrate Avorie's birthday!
Jack had so much fun!
This poor kid has missed having a pool!
The only problem was he would take off towards the deep end and scare the crap out of me.
That kid is way too fast and I'm way to slow!
Ella was so excited to go down the BIG slide

I am sad I didn't get a picture with all of the girls.
Those Robinson girls were off having too much fun!

There was a table dedicated just to watermelon.
Jack was in heaven!
I don't know how much he ate, but it was A LOT!
Thanks for inviting us Tiff, we had so much fun!
Happy Birthday to Avorie!

Jack's last day of Soccer

This was Jack's last week of soccer.
I think that he liked playing tee ball better, but I'm glad we did soccer too.
He really opened up more and was much more comfortable this second time doing a sport.
That and Ella did soccer and now he feels like he has that in common with his big sis.
My tiny boy..........
As soon as the mascot came in I knew Jack would start freaking out, which he did.
But after a minute he decided he would be alright to run over for a quick high five.
Progress people.
All done.
Now Ella has her last day of cheer and we're done with our summer activities.
I have to say I'm a bit revealed. I'm getting too big and too tired.
But then again school starts in a week.... early mornings everyday here we come.
I'm going to miss sleeping in until 8:30am!

*

I LOVE this video of Jack.
He loves being goalie, a LOT.
But this particular day there wasn't a lot of action coming his way.
I think he got bored.
Yep, he's the one with his shirt over his head.
Everyone else running around..... Jack standing there with his shirt over his head.
Makes me laugh every time.
