The weekend

The start of Ella's spring break....
All day Saturday I had a garage sale. I was NOT looking forward to it, but with the earnings going towards fixing up the dirt we call the back yard it made it worth it.
Actually it wasn't that bad and I was able to get a LOT done that day. Like get rid of TONS of our crap that was everywhere, closets, garage and even a storage unit. All things that really hadn't been touched or looked at in almost 2 years. It's a freeing feeling, being rid of so much.. stuff. I hate stuff. Now my closets are well organized and any storage items are neatly packed into nice, LABELED boxes.
{That scratch is almost healed!}

After the sale was over, OK, even before it was over, I started REALLY cleaning out the garage. I can actually pack my car IN the garage now! All I need is a garage door opener and I'll be in good shape. You can't put a dirty car into a clean garage! Ella and I were scrubbing away when I turned around, there was Jack, washing his car too! SO cute!

I felt the need to again, well document this little guy and his "obsessions". He has many. Mostly having to do with cars. Since I can remember he has always LOVED keys. There have been MANY times where our car key's have magically gone missing due to Jack's taking them and misplacing them. {Sorry Mom, I know that yours are still missing! We'll try and look for them again this summer!} Although most of the time we can ask him "Jack where are Daddy's keys!?" He will then run off to some drawer or shelf and give them back. Well, except that time Ryan's key's were missing for like three months. They were behind the piano. Over time Jack has found random key's around the house. Ryan had many key's around due to work. The other day Ryan looked at Jack's HUGE stash of key's and said "that key will unlock ANY house at work". He took that one back.

OK, so maybe Sunday nights are a little slow around here. Ryan was working late and the kids and I were trying to find someway to entertain ourselves. We were trying to be Piggy's, but ended up looking... well, like this! I can't help laughing out loud every time I see this picture!!! Ella's such a good sport, always up for being silly! Jack wouldn't come near us, we just scared him. Yep, I said we. But I'm not about to post a picture of myself like that. Just you knowing that my whole head was covered in tape is enough I think!
{Had to post a "normal" picture of Ella too!}

This week at the Bailey's...

Today marks the start of SPRING BREAK!
I'm not one of those Mom's who dreads breaks from school with their kids, I look forward to it as much as Ella does!
{poor Ella scratched her head last night}

{she wanted me to take a picture of her with her little toy cat and friend at school gave her in a trade}

This is how my week started though...
I was making some little stuffed lambs for Ella for Easter {didn't turn out quite like I had hoped} and was using rice to weight down the bottoms.
Well Jack decided that he was going to help me.

Thankfully I was able to get all of the rice out of my machine!

The other night I couldn't find Jack- he wasn't in his bed!
I started freaking out, until I went into Ella's room and there he was.
Cuddled up with his sissy.
He loves her more then anything in the world, even more then his mama and dadda sometimes!
He misses her so much while she's at school, he asks me over and over throughout the day "go get Ella?"
He's lonely, anyone want to start a playgroup or know of one!?

Saturday morning the kids had fun putting on a puppet show for me!

A couple of days ago I couldn't find Jack anywhere.
I looked everywhere, I was starting to go into panic mode when I came out of my closet and heard a little laugh.
He was hiding behind all of the big pillows on my bed!

Little stinker!

Last night we had some friends over for marshmallow roasting!

Jack was so good. He just hung out most of the time, just watching.
When he did roast a marshmallow he concentrated super hard and actually did a great job, until right at the end, when it caught on fire.

I should have taken more pictures!
Thank you Scott's and Jones' we had such a blast with all of you guys!!
We have to have a game night SOON!!!!

Some of his favorite things

Jack does not like clothes.
He never has.
Lately it's become even worse.
All winter no matter how chilly it is, he doesn't like to wear anything.
He's figured out that he can keep warm by playing in the sunlight coming though his window.
It's adorable!
I told him we should get some clothes on him, he ran and pretended to go to sleep. Yeah right.

He then decided that he wanted me to take pictures of every toy car he owns.
That would have taken days.. but I did take a couple.
*
He's such a sweet little man, even if he pulls my hair and makes me sew through my fingernail.

It hurts to type.

Today 1st grader, tomorrow- model

So the other day I found this jacket on clearance at old navy, I thought it was so cute that I had to get it.. and save it for this fall/winter of course.
But Ella saw it in her closet and just loved it so much.
It's kind of chilly enough for her to wear a light jacket in the mornings still.
So I let her wear it, you can see it doesn't fit, we had to roll up the sleeves three times!
She didn't care. She thought she looked pretty cute, cute enough to warrant some pictures.
She's such a HAM!
My sweet Belly-bug!
Can't you just see her in the sears catalog or something in these last two shots?

Nice day for a bike ride

After a day of driving all over kingdom come {Many doctors appointments, although things are looking much better in that department} we were able to spend a little time together as a family outside. The kids love being outside! It's been so hard not having a nice backyard for them to play in. We're working on it though and hope that it will be ready for them soon.
Ella still wants her training wheels. She's much to chicken to try without them.
Seems to me like she needs some quality Daddy time to figure it out.
I can feel the heat coming. Not looking forward to the 115 degree summer... at all.
So we better spend as much time having fun outside now, before it's so hot we melt.

Jack

A couple of days ago Jack brought me my camera {big no no} and pulled my hand to follow him outside.
He wanted me to take pictures of him, no joke.
My kids always love a good jumping picture!

What a goof.
I'm just glad that he likes having his picture taken!
Maybe it's Ella's turn again now.
Really, I want new family pictures.
I have a HUGE wall that needs something on it!
Anyone in the mood to come and help me with that sometime?
All you have to do is push a button, I will do the rest ;)
Time to go inside....

More of Baby Claire.....

Singing in the Rain

Sunday morning it was so RAINY!
It felt nice to have a little winter back after a couple of HOT days.
After church the kids and I went outside to enjoy what will certainly be one of the last bits of cold we'll have for a long while.
I'm going to miss winter terribly.

Jack was so excited! Ella was so excited!
I was excited that I had just bought him those galoshes the day before for 2 bucks!
{Kohl's is awesome!}

Ella loved to speed walk through the gutters, the water would splash up all over her!
It was surprisingly nice outside, not too cold. Just the right cold for playing outside... in the rain!

There was lots of jumping as well!
Look at how high she jumps!

It was nice when the sun would peek out.

Pretty Belly Bug!

Snot nosed stinker... who's pretty cute too.

Jack decided to do some raking while he was outside.
Look at all of our lovely weeds. They are all gone now. ;)
Spring is here!

What happens when someone isn't ready to come in the house for dinner.....
