Lilly's Big Girl Bike

After dropping the kids off to their last day of school I took the babies for a walk around the block in the wagon. We can to one of Lilly's friends houses where Sophie was riding her little bike with training wheels and helmet.
We continued on and as we were coming back up our driveway I turned to see Lilly sobbing in the wagon. Through broken sobs she told me "I'll never have a bog kid bike like Sophie."
Oh my gosh, it made me so sad.
We just hopped in the car right then and drove to the store and bought her a bike!
Maybe it was a little too impulsive and I could have waited for her birthday.
But as soon as she hopped on the bike in the store, she knew just how to do it!
Now she will have a bike all summer long!

She was doing so well.. oops, didn't see that dip!

I love her look of FREEDOM!

Of course Lila was around being wild.

Now Lila has her own bike too.

Ella's Elementary School Graduation

That's it! Ella's done with Elementary school!
Today was her graduation.
It was so cute how official it all was.

Nice one Sam...
My girl is all grown up.
It's weird to think that in the fall she will be going to Jr. High. She's not scared of that at all, I'm terrified!

While Ella was at school the babies and I decided to get some things together for a little party for her.
A lady bug hit my face in the Target parking lot and I had a full on spaz attack.. I'm just hoping that means I will have good luck today.. I'm sure people thought I was having a seizure.

We got home and got everything together for her!

We also picked up some treats for the kids teachers on the last day of school!
It's almost here!

A little party for a big girl.

Some gifts.. mostly because I don't like to buy things for no reason. A shirt for her birthday party and a dress for her last day of school.

Summer is almost here!

Ella's First School Dance

Ella's first ever school dance! She didn't really care, but I was SO excited!!
It was so cute how they set it up.
(I didn't realize that it was 50's themed. Therefore Ella didn't dress accordingly, oh well)
Every girl had a dance card and boys signed their name to do a certain dance with them.
There were several line dances they learned as well.

Simon was first. I didn't catch any of the other boys names, but he was so cute!

Ella always asked the boys to hold her dance card since she didn't have any pockets.

I'm pretty sure I danced to that same song when I was 14...

I was worried that Ella would be upset I was there trying to take pictures, but she wasn't.
In fact she asked me several times, "Hey Mom, take our picture!"
Sydney, Ella and Sammy.

Everything was decorated so cute!

They had root-beer floats :)

We had to take a picture without the sweater to show Grandma Swedish the dress she helped pick out.
She's growing up so fast now!

Loved watching Ella dance and have fun!

Had to steal one quick picture of this boy.
Ella has had zero interest in boys, until today. She actually told me she thought this boy way cute! Ah! So not ready for BOYS!

Lilly 3 1/2 Years Old

Because sometimes, just because.

Jack's Last Game of the Season

It's been such a great season for Jack's soccer team. I think they only lost one game!
Jack's last game and he got to play against a bunch of his friends from school and church.
(Jack's #2)

It was a cool morning so we got bundled up.
Love that Grandpa loves to come to Jack's games!

Where's Lila? Oh, she's the one who's screaming through the fence. Great.
Jack had his first hard fall in a long time..
Of course they kicked butt! Jack scoring something like 3 or 4 goals..

He and I have loved working with his coach and teammates.
Such a great group of kids!

This is the last year being on a co-ed team.
Jacks loved his girl teammates but he feels like all boys teams will be better matched.

While at his game we found out about tryouts for a club team called LaRoca in Alpine.
At the last minute we rushed over. We were a day late, but they still let Jack tryout.

I was actually so nervous the whole time for him. For two hours there was drill after drill..
I could tell he was getting tired. Finally it was over.
Then the coaches would put a few boys over here, then a few over there.. rearranging these small groups. It looked to me like Jack was in a bottom bracket for sure. So who knows, maybe he wont make it. He's only 7 trying out as a 9 year old. He's also only been playing for three seasons.
Finally they said we would find out in a couple of days and sent us home..
So we'll see what happens....
(That's Jack standing up)
