Crazy Girl

I caught Lilly climbing on one of her toys the other day. She has NO FEAR!

Poor baby, she always wants to be outside. If she can't be out with the other kids then she loves watching them through the back door.
Look at all of those ruffles!! Can you tell I am SO happy to have another little girl!!?

The Lake

A couple of Sunday's ago Ryan decided he wanted to go for a drive, something that he likes to do often. This time we took a little road behind our house that wraps around Utah lake. Ryan was so excited to come across this little beach and of course had to stop. We had no idea it was there and especially how close it was to us.
The kids were a little unsure about everything. The sand isn't the best as it is mixed with a lot of other plant debris. The water is warm, but pretty murky.
After a little while they started warming up to the idea

Ella was upset that she didn't have a swimming suit. The idea of swimming in clothes was totally weird to her. After enough coaxing from Ryan she finally did it.
Jack was slightly more brave and swam under water.
Ryan, Lilly and I found some nice shade and watched the older kids play.

Jack was filthy!!! But it was totally worth it since he had so much fun.
The lake is so shallow that the kids were able to swim pretty far out.

I love this.
We don't let our kids have a lot of soda and never with caffeine. In fact Jack knows to ask "Mom, does this kind have cappeine?" I don't know why we happened to have Coke, but we did and nothing else. So Jack got to have some. He asked why he isn't allowed to have Coke and I told him it was because it would make him crazy. After only a couple of sips this is what happened.

Asking if he was "crazy" yet.

It was a lot of fun. I think that we will end up spending a lot of our summer hanging out at the lake.

Ella's LAST Day of 3rd Grade

There goes Ella into school for the last time this school year and the last time as a 3rd grader!
She took a card and some flowers to her teacher. It was such a bitter sweet day. Ella has always been sad when school was over, but this year was the hardest to day goodbye.
School was only an hour and a half long for the day, the last 15 minutes I went into her classroom to get some photos.
Ella's whole class and lovely teacher!!

Ella posed with a couple of her friends for pictures, it was too crazy, we didn't get any more!
When talking to Ella's teacher, hugging and saying goodbye, I had to hold back the tears! She has been such a wonderful teacher for Ella. She just "got" Ella and the person that she is. She took the time to understand what Ella's needs were and was such an advocate for her! Ryan and I feel so blessed and know that it wasn't by chance that Ella was placed into the class she was. We will miss Mrs. Moschetti!!
Now comes the stress of worrying about who Ella's 4th grade teacher will be!

Breaking into summer!!!
After we got home from school I told the kids to go get ready in their swimming suits.....
It was NOW officially summer break!!!
We headed out to the highland splash pad, a favorite from last year.
Jack wanted me to take pictures of him standing on each rock. Silly boy!

My cousin's Maisy and Abby were in town so they came along with Sami
It's so funny that my AUNT and I had babies just a couple of weeks apart from each other.

More being silly and wanting pictures taken
We are lunch and lounged in the warm sun. I may have lounged a little too long, because I got a terrible sunburn! I think it was actually the wet children who were constantly climbing into my lab and washing the sunscreen away. Ryan was pretty upset to say the least about me getting such a bad burn. Lesson learned!
I LOVE these pictures of Lilly (thanks Sami!) I love her sweet smile and cute new summer hat!
That was Ella's outfit when she was little. (Ella's first Gymboree outfit!)

Even though I thought the water was still pretty cold and it was rather windy, it didn't stop the girls from having fun and getting soaked!

Lilly's first time to any type of water park/place.
I thought she would scream when she touched the cold water, but she was fine.
Of course Jack had to try and sneak into one shot!

I love these pictures too!!!! (thanks again Sami!)
And then Jack turned into a pumpkin and it was time to go home.
WELCOME SUMMER BREAK!!!!!!

Ella's Last Real Day of School

The last full day of school everyone in the class got to dressed up really fancy. Ella wanted to dress up as someone famous, she was thrilled when her teacher guess right- Audrey Hepburn!
Everyone got drinks and popcorn and candy.
Ella's teacher is so fun! She broke the class up into groups and had them write, act and film a little movie.
On the last full day of school all of the parents were invited to come and watch all of the little movies.
Some of the students got up to explain the process.

Ella was so upset, she lost her card that told her what to say, but she did great!

Ella's movie was called "Wolf Girl". She wasn't the wolf, she was the valley girl type sister. She was awesome! Her teacher said she ad libbed most of it. It was very funny!
(I will try and get a copy on here soon!)
After school we realized that we hadn't taken any pictures of Ella all dressed up.
All I said was smile......
Such a DIVA! Only one more day of school!
