Scarlett's Baby Blessing

Baby Scarlett!
It took a long time for her to get here (Mary went two weeks overdue!) but she finally made it!
She has so much dark hair, just like her brother. I think they look a lot alike.
At just two weeks old the Shumway's drove to Utah to bless their sweet baby.
I gave her those jammies!
They had to do it early Friday morning.
Ryan had a meeting he couldn't get out of.
But all of these guys were able to be there.

Wasn't Mary just 17 visiting me!? Now she's married with her second baby.

Scarlett wore the dress Mary was blessed in. Our Mom made it.

After the blessing we all enjoyed some yummy treats.
It was so fun seeing our old friend Joesph and all of his kids (Lauren was at home only two weeks away from having baby number 4, so she couldn't travel) The kids are all so grown up!
It's so fun to have them as family! Our kids love calling the Shumway's their cousins!

Lilly and Harvey are only a couple months apart and now Lila and Scarlett are only a couple of weeks apart.
All weekend we hung out at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
We played games, watched movies and ate lots of scotcharoos!
The last evening before Mary and Kevin went back to Wyoming some of the boys were outside throwing a football around. Lilly thought this was HILARIOUS!

It was so fun seeing Mary and her little family. I wish they could come and visit more often.

It's a Moose

Last night Ryan and Dad decided to go up the canyon on their dirt bikes.
Mom, the kids and I went along.
As we were driving up Dad looked out the window and said "look, there is a huge moose!"
Mom said "there is no way it's a moose, people wouldn't be walking so close to it. It has to be a horse. You're just blind"
After the boys sped off on their bikes we turn to see- in fact it IS A MOOSE!
People are so dumb! Don't they know it could charge and stomp them to death!?
So Dad, although blind, saw this huge moose. Which Mom thought was a horse.
This is as close as we ever got.. and we were in the car.

Jack's Field Trip to Hee Haw Farm

I was so excited that Jack's kindergarten class was going to go on a field trip!
Lilly, Lila and I got to tag along too!
A perfect start to October.
We all woke up early to get ready and be on time. Which is so much harder now with four kids.
We took Jack to school so that he could ride the bus with all of his friends and classmates and the girls and I met him there.
Finally Jack's bus arrived!
Lilly was thrilled! She got to feel like she was a big kid.

We checked out all of the animals, including a big fat pig!

The kids playing on huge bales of hay and several slides.

Of course scaredy cat Jack didn't want to go down this big slide at first.
When he finally tried it, it's all he wanted to do the rest of the day.
Everyone laughed when all of the kindergarten teachers went down together!
I'm so happy that Jack has made some friends in his class. Everyday as I drop him off at school I hear other children call "hey Jack!" -" Jack come play with us!"

The little girls and I didn't go on the ride. We ended up chatting with Jacks teacher while we waited.
She said that Jack's doing so well and is one of the sweetest boys she's ever taught in 15 years!
Each child got to pick out a pumpkin
I love going to the pumpkin patch, except for all of the dust and dirt!

Jack with some of his classmates
Lila woke up at the very end. She looks a little shocked..
Back on the bus they go! Jack loved getting to ride on a bus for the first time!

He kept blowing me kisses and waving.
It was such a great day! I'm so glad that I got to go and share the day with Jack.
October is here!

My sweet baby girl, almost three months old

Still loving to match.
Lilly is so proud of her pumpkin!

After a long day, time for bed!
