Random June

After waiting for what seemed like forever Jack finally got the call- he made it onto a LaRoca team!
We were all a little surprised. I think it had a lot to do with his former coach Christina.
He's now on a U9 team, playing two ages up, but with his two buddies Cameron and Isaac!
He had his first practice with coach Eric and loved it! It's harder then Rec, but a lot better.
Ella and Jack said they had never played Twister before.. Had to try it out!
So glad Ella didn't realize I was taking video!
Lila.....

It used to be such a pretty chair..

One of my most favorite videos of Lila!
I thought it was so cute how she said "delicious"!

A duck had some babies the other day! The kids were all so excited!

The girls love it when they come into our yard!

Jacob's future wife Natalie was thrown a bridal shower. It was fun that Ella was included!
We played some games, ate yummy food and watched Natalie open some gifts.

Ella's toilet paper dress turned out pretty well..

So excited for Jacob and Natalie!! Only a couple more weeks!

I don't ever want to forget these warm summer days eating "apple berries" in the back yard!

Jack's second practice.. so far he's loving it!

Not sure we will be allowed in Costco ever again!

After 12 years it was time for retirement. This crib has slept all four of our kids.
But now that Lila can climb out so easily, it's time for a big girl bed.
So bittersweet! No more babies for us..

First night in her big girl bed!! Lilly loved being on the top bunk.. Lila was a little unsure..
But she stayed there all night!

Our first trip to Seven Peaks for the summer!!
Let the summer officially begin!

Just a week or so later we went again. I think this is going to be a weekly thing for the summer!

Love that tiny little white hat!
To remember what it was like in 2015
One day while waiting for Jack at soccer Lila just wanted a Mommy cuddle.
Not many more days like this one..

June 25th! My Mom and Bizzy's birthday!
I remember when Bizzy was born!
Now I get to play with her baby- Rosie!

To celebrate we met up at City Creek for lunch and shopping!

So pretty Bizzy! Happy Birthday!

Lila was seriously obsessed with this fountain. If I tuned my back for one second there she was trying to climb in!

The other kids played in the splash pad!... Where's Lila? Oh.. yeah, talking to some guy. We better talk more about stranger danger!

Another Seven Peaks day, this time we brought all of the Lewis family with us!
We stayed all day and even got lunch, something I told the kids we would never do.
Boy I caved fast!

Our whole group! (Except Karla) So glad that everyone could come!

Six more months of one o'clock church.. I know some people love church at that time, but not Lila! She misses her nap too much.

Ella's First Temple Trip

Ella could not WAIT to attend the temple for the first time to do baptisms for the dead!
She had always hopped to go on her 12th birthday, but it just didn't work out.
So less then a week after turning 12 she met with the Bishopric and got her recommend!

Finally the day had come! We were all ready, but due to everyone else going to a wedding reception they were all running behind.
In my hurry I even forgot to pick up my Dad! My Mom who was just meeting us there had to run and get him. So glad we live so close!

A lot of Ella's friends aren't 12 yet, so it was fun to have her/my cousin Maisy come along who just turned 12 last month.

Ryan and I couldn't be more proud of Ella! Who she is and what she does.

As soon as I walked in the temple doors all of the hustle and bustle outside washed away.
I loved watching first Jacob baptize my our Dad for his Dad! It was a really neat experience.
After all my Dad said was, I think he excepted it.
Then my Dad baptized Jacob for several other great grandparents and relatives.
Then it was Ryan's turn as he baptized Ella for her great grandmother.
I'm so happy for Ella and grateful for her testimony and faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
It was a wonderful evening and I hope that Ella never forgets it.

The whole group who came to support Ella and also to do service in the temple.

It is my hope that Ella will want to come her often and remember the feelings she had tonight.

The Manti Pageant

I have always wanted to take my kids down to the Manti Miracle Pageant but never have..
until now!
At first Jack was pretty skeptical.. Having to drive in the car forever to see some play..
But as soon as we got there and he saw all of the kids in cool costumes and found out there was a big fighting scene he was all in!

There were lots of food trucks and booths around. We got dinner while we waited for the show to start.

Such a beautiful backdrop!

My Mom and Neinah drove down with us and Sami and Chloe met us there.

We got kind of silly waiting around..

Finally the show started and it did not disappoint!

It was an amazing show! We all can't wait to go again next year!

Ella's 12th Birthday Party

Finally the day had come! Ella was so excited! She was finally not a "little kid" anymore.
12 is a pretty big deal.
We planned an Ice Cream Social for her and her friends.

She had so many wonderful lifelong friends, friends from the neighborhood, church and school there.

The boys were supposed to be inside playing video games and not bothering the girls.. but they heard ice cream and came running.

Lilly was a little stinker, stealing all of the candy

Sydney and Delaney

Avorie, Paige and Ella.
BFF's since birth.

Lauren and Holly

Neinah and Maisy

Ryan was awesome! He manned the ice cream station all afternoon!
He even matched the decor. Was that on purpose?

Then we played some games!

While everyone was finishing their ice cream Ryan decided that we should play the game and put on a show for the kids.
It was "Blindfolded sword fight" We had to be the first to find the sword and hit the other player to win.

We also played elbow tag. Even Ryan got into it!

Look at those frosting covered hands!

My impromptu cake design!

Happy Birthday to my sweet Ella!

Next up- presents!!

I love Ryan's face in these!
Ella had talked about wanting a cellphone, but I thought she was too young. But with her starting Jr. High in a couple of months Ryan was able to convince me it was a good idea.
She had no idea.. even when her box was ringing!

Finally figured it out!

All of her friends gave her wonderful gifts. Ryan thought it was funny that I got her a mermaid tail!

But I'm pretty sure she liked it!

Seriously, it was the perfect tween night! Tee shirts, flipflops, chocolate fountains, room decor, a cat poster!

Bizzy and Tyler were around all that day and Bizzy helped so much with everything!!

After being focused on Ella for so long I decided to check on everyone else..
This is how I found Ryan! I thought it was so funny!
Just relaxing in the cool breeze.

There were so many kids on the tramp.. I thought it was going to break!

And finally she got Coconut water.. it was obviously an inside joke between her, Avorie and Paige.
It was pretty awesome to watch!
I hope you had a wonderful birthday Ella, since you are wonderful!
Happy Birthday, my 12 year old!
